"Twisting the throttle grip, won't show no mercy... Feeling those tendons flex, pumped up and mean!
Blastmaster racks the ground, bent on survival... Full throttle hammers down a deadly scream!
Forced into overdrive, drawn out in anger... All talons poison-dipped, impaling spikes!
Heart-pounding, fever-pitched, blood-pumping fury... Two-fisted dynamo eagerly strikes!
Cross cutting thundercharge, blade of destruction... Flame-throwing hurricane destroys the cage!
Bone crushing alien, god of salvation... Black winged from heaven sent, wipes out in rage!
All Guns, ALL GUNS BLAZING!!!"

Wicked Weaponry for Cyberpunk Reloaded:
Cyberpunk is about a lot of things. Violence is just one of them. Still, weapons are pretty fascinating and this is just a game. So what the heck -- even if they never get used (perhaps, even, especially if they never get used), let's enjoy 'em!

Developed by the renowned Japanese firearms wizards at Tsunami Arms as part of their Corporate Anarchy program, the Hakkaishin ("god of destruction") type-400 is designed for license to mercenary units and other paramilitary groups. Conceived as a facility defense weapon, the 400 is a quad-barreled, fuel-injected, fully automatic assault shotgun built to be fired over the shoulder (like a bazooka or missile launcher). It is fed by two machine-loading magazines (top and bottom) of 10-gauage shotshells and a seperate tank of binary propellants. Full smartchipping with laser targeting and multi-spectrum surrogate optics (night vision, IR, thermograph) are standard.

A bullpup autoloader from the renowned Japanese arms wizards at Seburo. The hyper-modern, fuel-injected C-X ("Compact eXploder") is fed through a variable-speed machine-loading chamber, which allows for reliable semi-auto firing and controllable 3-round bursts. The magazine, other than its unusual orientation, is fairly orthodox, storing binary propellants and twenty-seven 6.6mm slugs. Smartchipping for cybernetic operation is a standard feature.

The latest design from the Barrett-Beretta-Taurus syndicate, the AxC is chambered for the 8.94mm Select rifled projectile and utilizes modern fuel-injected explosive propulsion technology. The weapon is factory smartchipped and is fully electronic in operation (with backup manual controls in case of systems failure). The pistolgrip is molded from shape-memory materials activated by the hand's body heat and customizable through the smartchipping interface.

Rumor has it that the P222 is the result of corporate espionage -- Walther agents are said to have highjacked an encrypted data burst from the Barrett-Beretta-Taurus syndicate in order to duplicate the technological success of the Beretta AxC. Of course, some say the espionage went the other way. In any event, the P222 is functionally similar to the AxC in many ways. It, too, is a factory-smartchipped, fuel-injected 8.94mm Select autoloader whose grip is conformable thanks to the incorporation of memory plastics. The P222, however, uses a higher-density fuel burst per shot -- in other words, the the P222 hits harder but has fewer shots.

Steyr marketed this unusual combat rifle in 2038, gaining critical acclaim but market apathy. No longer in production, the AUR-39 is hard to come by but is much sought after by select enthusiasts. The rifle uses an electrothermal firing system, is fully electronic in operation, and is chambered for a unique, plastic-cased cartridge containing plasmatic propellant and a heavy fragmentation flechette. (The ammunition is actually harder to come by than the rifle itself.) Highly effective against a variety of targets, the weapon is smartchipped for mental control but incorporates no optics. (It is pictured here with a multi-spectrum laser deignator, a Neoptix cyberoptic triangulation scope, and visible/ultra/infra spotlight.) Mechanically complex and conceptually baroque, the AUR-39 was an economic failure but remains a cult success among those who appreciate or desire unique, highly specialized weaponry.

As information-based Microcorps go, Viceroy Ballistics is quite dramatic. They design firearms based on customer request, then sell the designs on the open market -- usually named after the clients. The Troubleshooter, however, is one of Viceroy's few "house designs." Sporting a variety of exotic, iconocalstic, and hotly debated features, this pistol is well-recognized on the street and in high-price shooting ranges. Composition is spec'ed for high-temperature polycarbides, with a nanomorphing ergonomic grip which emulates a wood grain surface. Adjustable iron sights are supplemented by a cyberoptic targeting computer (mounted forward of the electronic trigger array) and gryro-stabilizer (built into the grip). Smartchipping for cybernetic operation is a standard feature. A vectored-thrust muzzle compendator increases controllability and mounting rails are built into the frame to accomodate almost any additional systems. The machine-loading clip, which packs enough 7.4mm rifled slugs and binary propellant fuels for 25 shots, feeds into a wide-mouthed magazine well. Overall, the Troubleshooter is known to be "gimmicky but effective."

A fairly typical fuel-injected assault carbine made by and for third-world asian maramilitary units. The "Autmachete" is built from impact-proof pseudoplastics, sports universal mounting stations all over its barrel, and is equipped with three sighting systems: computer-enhanced optical reticles, an adjustable laser designator, and a pan-spectrum lightsource. Though smartchipped for neural operation, a cyberoptic targeting computer is not a standard feature. The Automachete accepts Category III corporate-standard Universal Ammo Modules, loading enough 4.25mm rifled slugs and double-sealed fuels for 120 shots. Overheating can become a problem if full auto fire is employed too frequently, and the fixed stock is considered pointless by many cyborg soldiers.
